Anhui Province-Jiuhua Mountain

Jiuhua Mountain, anciently known as Lingyang Mountain and Jiuzi Mountain, is one of the "Four Famous Mountains of Chinese Buddhism". It is located in Qingyang County, Chizhou City, Anhui Province. Tang Dynasty Li Bai's "Wang Jiuhua presented Qingyang Wei Zhongkan" poem: "Formerly on Jiujiang, looking far to Jiuhua Peak. Tianhe hangs green water, showing Jiu Furong." And renamed "Jiuhua Mountain".

　　Jiuhua Mountain is one of the three major mountain series in southern Anhui, the main body is a strong faulted uplift zone composed of granite rock. Except for part of the sedimentary rocks in the marginal area, most of them are lightly uplifted fold fault blocks composed of granodiorite. Located in the northern subtropical zone, Jiuhua Mountain is not only affected by the humid monsoon, but also restricted by the altitude and topography of the mountain area, so it has the characteristics of mild, humid, cool and other mountain climates.

　　Jiuhua Mountain leans over the Yangtze River to the north, Huangshan Mountain to the south, Taiping Lake to the east, Chiyang to the west, and more than 100 kilometers. There are 99 peaks, and the highest Shiwang Peak is 1342 meters above sea level. The Jiuhua Mountain area has a total area of about 120 square kilometers, roughly south-north, between 117 ° 43′-118 ° 80 ′ east longitude and 30 ° 24′-30 ° 40 ′ north latitude.

　　From the foothills to Tiantai Peak, Jiuhua Mountain is lined with famous temples and many cultural relics. There are 78 ancient temples such as Huacheng Temple, Moon Body Temple, Huiju Temple, and Baisui Palace. There are more than 1,500 Buddha statues. There are more than 1,300 cultural relics such as imperial edicts, Tibetan scriptures, other jade seals and magical instruments.

　　In 2006, Jiuhuashan Scenic Area with Jiuhuashan as the main body was rated as a National Key Scenic Spot. In 2007, Jiuhuashan Scenic Area was rated as a national AAAAA tourist attraction. In 2009, Jiuhua Mountain was rated as a National Geopark.
