Qianming Temple is located on Yangming Road, Nanming River, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. It is an important place for Buddhist activities in Guiyang City. Guizhou Buddhist Association and Guiyang Buddhist Association are both located in the temple. Qianming Temple is one of the first 142 national key temples announced by the State Council. The temple was built in the late Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. During the Xianfeng period of Qing Dynasty, Qianming Temple was converted into Shu Family Ancestral Hall.
During the period of the Republic of China, Master Miao Guangmiao moved here, and the Buddhist scriptures were abundant and the converts became important jungles.
